About
Zard is an initiative dedicated to preserving the memories of those who have suffered under the Islamic Republic’s oppressive regime and beyond. By portraying the faces of victims, amplifying unheard stories, and documenting silenced truths, Zard seeks to challenge erasure and foster awareness about the history of repression in Iran and neighboring regions.
At the heart of Zard are color-coded folders, each representing a distinct area of focus:
Orange: Highlighting stories of domestic violence and the survivors who endure it.
Blue: Shedding light on the struggles and resilience of Afghan women.
Red: Exposing the history and actions of dictators and oppressive regimes.
Lilac: Amplifying the voices and experiences of the LGBTQ+ community.
This platform serves as a space for remembrance, resistance, and hope. It is a tribute to the resilience of individuals who have faced injustice and a call to action for building a future rooted in accountability, transparency, and justice. Through art, storytelling, and categorizing narratives by theme, Zard strives to connect the past to the present, ensuring that the sacrifices of the silenced are never forgotten.
